States that protect the neural privacy of the mind
Neurotechnology companies are investing increasingly large sums to develop devices capable of interacting with the brain and California, Colorado and Chile have reportedly approved legislation to protect neural privacy. We are talking about a near future in which a wearable device for example triggers an advertisement suitable for satisfying a certain food desire or monitors the actions that are carried out and in the case of a fixed device we also come to hypothesize much more questionable cases. Brain data would be the next frontier of privacy and it is necessary to plan the sector with specific regulations that can protect this fundamental personal good; then it is necessary to take into account whether actions can be influenced by generative artificial intelligence or by applications that exploit neurotechnologies.

Nuclear energy for artificial intelligence
To fuel the enormous energy demands of systems that support generative artificial intelligence a well-known company, that has a monopoly for example in the online search market and other widespread applications, would be willing to use multiple small modular nuclear reactors (the first module is expected to be used by 2030, but first it will be necessary to obtain all the certifications from the authorities that regulate the nuclear sector). It is estimated that the demand in general for data processing centers could about triple by 2030, but some argue that it is not clear what the real consumption of artificial intelligence alone is; then as far as expensive nuclear modules built in factories instead of in a certain outdoor site there is talk of not respecting economies of scale very much and there are also problems related to the disposal of radioactive waste.

Reconstruction with criteria after floods
After a building has been flooded or a house damaged by floods, there is a tendency to rebuild or repair them as they were before, but this habit must change, at least according to researchers who argue that we could soon find ourselves in the same conditions (if not worse since emissions are still increasing instead of decreasing). Sometimes are forced by regulations and various contracts made to protect the property, but it is clear that in the event of a new flood the costs of dealing with the situation will recur and will be increasingly burdensome; so it is undoubtedly adapting buildings to climate change. Changing the subject but remaining on naturalistic issues the recent torrential rainfall in Marrakesh in Morocco is worth mentioning, there is talk of roads transformed into torrents and considerable inconvenience for the population.

Ask your doctor if they use AI
A patient's personal data could be used by generative artificial intelligence platforms (raising questions related to privacy), at least according to the predictions of experts who warn that apparently some doctors already use artificial intelligence applications for example to automatically write the medical record by transcribing conversations with patients, then as these questionable technologies develop they will always be most used to increase the information obtained with visits. It has been noted that artificial intelligence is not always able to translate particular types of accents in a language, making errors of interpretation; then it is better to ask the doctor if he uses artificial intelligence, in this case also to verify that the documentation is correct.

Damage due to a hurricane in Florida
There would be over ten victims in Florida due to hurricane "Milton", but there is talk of a provisional toll while it is estimated that the damage is considerable even if some say less than expected, from satellite the vortex seemed frightening in size but when it touched the ground it lost power, the gusts of wind still exceeded two hundred kilometers per hour with torrential rainfall that flooded the roads and inevitable inconvenience for the population; then houses destroyed, roofs uncovered or damaged, trees uprooted. To be noted shifting the attention to other scenarios, the wave of bad weather in Lombardy region in Italy with flooding and landslides, while in the southern regions an anomalous heat is expected in the coming days for the season with temperatures well over thirty degrees Celsius due to the arrival of an African anticyclone.

Remains of a hurricane reach France
The "Kirk" hurricane, significantly weakened, affected areas in the south of France causing one victim, then there is talk of interruption of the electricity supply and flooded roads due to torrential rainfall; damage previously also in Portugal and Spain with uprooted trees. In Italy one person is missing due to the flooding of the Piave river in Veneto region, the level of the rivers monitored in Trentino and Liguria regions is high. To be noted by changing the subject but remaining on naturalistic themes of the victims (at a boarding house) in Florida due to dozens of tornadoes caused by Hurricane "Milton", the authorities warn people who did not want to leave their homes not to move because the weather conditions are prohibitive and it would also be difficult to intervene for any rescue, two million users without electricity supply.

More and more hurricanes will form in Gulf of Mexico
Temperatures monitored in summer in the waters of the Gulf of Mexico would have reached a record in August and according to researchers more and more hurricanes will form due to this anomalous warming caused by an uncontrolled use of fossil fuels and faster and faster. In practice with twenty-five degrees Celsius a hurricane is unlikely to form, with twenty-seven it is more likely and with the current thirty it could be the norm and therefore also in the future. Six million people have left Florida to avoid being hit by the now Category four hurricane "Milton", which has an unusual trajectory and may be heading toward Tampa Bay. Changing the subject to report the wave of bad weather in northern regions of Italy, while Sicily is still struggling with low rainfall and complaints from the population in some centers about the lack of drinking water.

Heated discussions around the COP29 conference
While discussions continue among states that will participate in the COP29 conference on the reduction of polluting emissions in Azerbaijan in Baku, for example around the allocations to be allocated to developing nations affected by climate change that it has not caused, some say that perhaps we are already looking at the next COP30 to be held in Brazil and that now we find ourselves practically on the same low-profile line as the last COP28 in Dubai, defined as decidedly not very incisive. To be noted changing the subject but remaining on naturalistic issues evacuations in Florida due to the arrival of the potentially very dangerous category five hurricane called "Milton" just over a week after Hurricane "Helene" which left a trail of destruction in this state and in North Carolina there is still talk of places awaiting the intervention of rescue.

Beach at night in Dubai due to excessive heat
Temperatures in Dubai frequently reach forty degrees Celsius, often with high humidity, and the beaches are too fiery to be frequented, so illuminated stretches would have been set up to allow bathers access at night, then there are also lifeguards equipped with binoculars that allow night vision and nets in the sea against sharks; is talking about over a million people who have visited the more than eight hundred meters of beaches equipped for night use with temperatures that drop to about thirty-two degrees. The working conditions in Dubai during the day with that heat are very difficult and workers can find a moment of leisure and recovery from prohibitive temperatures, then even the many tourists who visit the big city famous for its sumptuous skyscrapers and illuminated water features can find relief from the excessive heat.

From an image to a video with artificial intelligence
The unstoppable advance of generative artificial intelligence continues with new functions that apparently are much appreciated by those who make questionable completely false images (so-called deepfakes) and now there is talk of the arrival of an application that will allow to go from a photo to a video up to about sixteen seconds even by equipping it with audio; for example, animating a photograph of an event by making it become a video. It should not, according to the first statements, be a substitute for traditional artistic animations; but some doubt on this topic seems obvious as this far too automated technology develops. Another question is about the energy costs to create these animations that use sophisticated microprocessors and also for those who watch them, activating servers and computing centers located halfway around the world.
