CO2 emissions not in line with targets in China

Carbon dioxide emissions from the industrial sector in China have increased by more than five percent, at least according to a Finnish report that points out that the country is not in line with the objectives of limiting polluting emissions due to the increase in energy demand that occurred after the Covid-19 pandemic, then difficult climatic conditions would have worsened the situation with hydropower production reaching a minimum in over two decades. Renewable energy installations which hit a record high last year could partially offset the energy shortfall if they continue at the same pace. It should be noted that some have long argued that the entire sector of renewable energy sources should not be supported by that which can be linked to that of fossil fuels.
