A European law on artificial intelligence
In what is described as the start of a historic path to pass a European law regulating the use of artificial intelligence, a provisional agreement was reportedly reached in a marathon for the approval of proposals that lasted three days. It is a matter of harmonizing artificial intelligence with the fundamental values of the European Union so that they can be respected, on the impact on the future of these computer models, with rules and lists of prohibitions for example regarding the use of biometric identification at a distance in public spaces, then on a clear distinction between normal models and those based on artificial intelligence. Some say that trying to regulate artificial intelligence is like trying to stop an avalanche with the hands, and that should instead pull off plug to all neural networks by turning off their connections.
