Study on interferon release in long Covid

The feeling of having had a cognitive decline described as a kind of brain fog after being infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus even with few symptoms and after some time according to researchers could depend on the release of interferon, at least according to a study that points out that these proteins that signal a viral threat negatively affect the release of a neurotransmitter such as serotonin with consequent cognitive impact and therefore less lucid mind.
