Camouflage of the tobacco industry
It is estimated that tobacco is responsible for more than seven million victims a year plus over a million for indirect smoking due to unintentional exposure to cigarette smoke, so many more than the SARS-CoV-2 virus; but the tobacco industry apparently tries to disguise itself with a so-called "greenwashing" (washing with fake environmentalist colors) by distributing, for example, hand washing soaps in anti-Covid function, leaflets and disinfectant kits. Even more questionable is the adoption of charitable and philanthropic initiatives with the profits deriving from the sale of cigarettes while in reality child labor is often exploited, deforestation and pesticide use are increased. International health organizations warn that victims from tobacco smoke could increase to ten million a year by 2050; in fact, it is estimated that half of smokers become seriously ill from diseases related to smoking.
