New viruses linked to climate change
It is hypothesized that thousands of new viruses could spread among animal species by 2070 due to climate change and consequently infectious diseases will emerge that will pass from animals to humans, especially in Africa and Asia (as already happened for some infectious diseases including Covid-19). The scenario simulating a global warming of two degrees Celsius, which according to recent studies is possible, was used by researchers with models to monitor over three thousand species of mammals that could migrate and spread viruses in the next fifty years; particularly under observation are bats about these cross-infections. To report changing the subject but remaining on healthy issues such as Taiwan, which was previously relatively little affected by the 19-nCoV pandemic, would have monitored a record of eleven thousand cases of contagion in one day.
