Research on new antibiotic resistances
The SARS-CoV-2 virus pandemic with the need to vaccinate the world population in order to avoid dangerous variants should not distract from another major global health problem caused by antibiotic abuse; in fact, soon no drugs will be available to deal with what were easily treatable infections and researchers lately with tests would also identify antimicrobial-resistant genes in the intestines of travelers from southeast Asia. These are microorganisms probably from intensive agricultural cultures on which common antibiotics have no effect and therefore of potential concern for those who decide to travel after the containment periods imposed by the pandemic. To be noted by changing the topic the record of over six thousand and one hundred Covid-19 victims reported (after a recount) in India in a single day.
