Rare myocarditis after an nCoV vaccine at mRNA
Researchers hypothesize that rare cases of mild myocarditis after the second dose of a well-known mRNA technology vaccine in some young subjects may be caused by an abnormal immune response (precisely for the young age of the subjects) leading to acute inflammation of the myocardial tissue of the heart resulting in symptoms of heart failure such as feeling of pain and oppression in the chest especially after deep breathing, shortness of breath and in the most severe cases irregular rhythm of pulsations. Vaccination for young people is recommended to prevent subjects who have many social relationships from transmitting the SARS-CoV-2 virus, then lately due to the spread of an Indian virulent variant called delta it is not appropriate to delay too much the second dose of vaccination recall and the benefits outweigh the risks. The goal is to achieve herd immunity so avoid that a variant of the virus can bypass or make protection much less effective.
