The Chinese health authorities are struggling to keep under control the infections from Omicron subvariants of the SARS-CoV-2 virus and in Shanghai despite the strict quarantine there are fifty-one victims, then in Beijing the mass tests on citizens have caused panic for fear of having to remain confined to the house and long queues have formed to stock up on food. The nineteen cases monitored lately added to some previously detected are many for the so-called zero-Covid strategy with consequent quarantine risk for the capital of the country, while containment measures against infections have already been adopted. To be noted by completely changing the subject but remaining on healthy issues the investigation launched by researchers on cases of acute pediatric hepatitis of unknown origin (are talking about one hundred and sixty-nine cases in the world), perhaps the adenovirus could play a role.
