A new coronavirus under study

The new coronavirus discovered by researchers belonging to the merbecovirus subvariant has been called Hku5-Cov-2 and like the SARS-CoV-2 virus it exploits the same infection mechanism (the spike protein) to infect cells and therefore able to infect humans. It is potentially pandemic but it seems that it is less virulent than risky variants of SARS-CoV-2 even if it is necessary to maintain high attention and continue to monitor the situation. It should be noted changing the subject but remaining on health issues that Canada would have purchased five hundred thousand doses of vaccines to protect the people most at risk from avian flu in the event of exposure and even indirect contact with infected animals such as saliva, mucus and feces; then there are cases in the United States in which humans have infected domestic cats with avian flu.
