Suspected H5N1 virus in park with feline in Vietnam
The samples analyzed in a laboratory in the Ho Chi Minh city in Vietnam would have advanced to the health authorities the high suspicion that the cause of the death of forty-four tigers, three lions and a leopard in two tourist sites in the provinces of Dong Nai and Long An in the south of the country may have been the H5N1 avian flu, then there is talk of investigations into other cases in safari parks. Three people who have been in close contact with animals that fell ill before death have been identified, the virus (which usually infects birds and poultry farms in many countries in Southeast Asia) can be transmitted to humans, so they are trying to trace the cases. Shifting attention to Italy, an outbreak of about one hundred cases of dengue in Fano in the Marche region, distributed products to avoid being bitten and the proliferation of mosquitoes.
