Considerations for 19-nCoV death rates

Using a simple formula by taking the number of confirmed cases of contagion in the world (six hundred and fifty thousand) and that of victims (thirty thousand) it should be possible to obtain a percentage of deaths of more than four and a half percent for coronavirus COVID-19 and therefore one understands the severity of the pathology; in fact, seasonal flu typically has a death rate of less than one percent. Some say that the percentages vary from country to country, but that does not mean that in reality the percentage of death varies and much depends on the containment measures taken by the health authorities, then other decisive factors should also be taken into account such as for example the reliability of the monitored data, the average age of the population, the health status of patients and in practice whether the death is due to the virus or for other pathologies.
