Sandy hurricane is approaching to New York
After sixty-six victims caused in the Caribbean the "Sandy" hurricane is coming to New York and the authorities have already prepared an evacuation plan for three hundred seventy-five thousand people living on the coast considered most vulnerable in the city, including the areas most at risk as Staten Island and Coney Island. Many flights were cancelled, subway and bus lines in the city are at a standstill and there is disruption to the provision of certain services, while the population is setting up protective barriers made with wood panels and sandbags as happened last years with Hurricane Irene, also on the coast trains do not travel as a precaution, while strong winds could lash the Virginia and Massachusetts. According to weather forecast the hurricane collision with a cold front from the north could cause wind storms, floods and other extreme events.
