Scarcity of food in Somalia
In Somalia it would be necessary to provide a social safety net to protect the most vulnerable in cases of drought, at least according to statements by international organizations indicate that a severe famine in that country because of a prolonged drought that has caused more damage than other countries of east Africa affected by this phenomenon as Kenya, Ethiopia and Djibouti. Crops would be compromised especially in southern Somalia to cause of the scarcity of rainfall including that of sorghum which are the basis of type of feeding the population and there are thousands of victims to the famine despite international aid. Provide food as well as useful tools for agriculture would allow individuals affected by prolonged drought and conflict to remain in their territories of origin could benefit from more efficient irrigation, fertilizers and vaccines for livestock.
