To decide what are the "ideal laws" suitable for regular assessments on the compositions of a new state should ensure that the verdict is influenced by the noise of the crowd ready to reward unseemly pleasures, not to take the risk that these rules ruin the tastes of all the audience and point instead to promote the noble ways of life and education of the population.
