Microchips with versatile internal components
With the advance of technology microchips that run electronic devices integrate more functions and internal components have become miniaturized to the point of approaching the physical limits of the known matter, and a new type of solution studied by the researchers would be able to change in "real time" the electronic properties of the components with resistors that can become transistors, diodes or perform different functions by reconfiguring the links. Such features may be useful for computers and portable devices using a very compact internal structure more versatile (with streams of electrons that change the course and direction depending on the task to be performed). Has not yet been given a name to this new type of versatile material and technology that could replace the silicon in future also having lower production costs.
