Smart meters and environmental protection
A micro-electronic energy smart meter allows to control the consumption of electrical appliances and their use was recommended to save energy and help to reduce emissions of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere whereas long periods of time and large numbers of people can be very substantial. This type of equipment provided with a display on which to read the amount of electricity consumed is also useful to understand to the user how much energy is wasted and ensure that there is a more conscious consumer and to avoid peak of consumption in general (and this consideration may also apply with respect to the gas, the water..), but researchers have found that the greatest savings occurs predominantly about in the first four months and for more long periods of time is tend to lose the habit to the positive use and check of the smart meters.
