The different wind speeds over the oceans at various heights in the atmosphere can influence the formation of hurricanes and researchers are monitoring as is intensifying as the climate phenomenon as "La Nina" which contributes to the winds due to a cooling of the tropical zone Pacific Ocean and acting in opposition to the "El Nino" which would overheat in those same areas.
