Due to the Omicron variants of the SARS-CoV-2 virus, especially the BA.2 which is proving to be very contagious, and a lower attention of containment measures against infections is spoken of a new wave of Covid-19 infections in Europe with a sharp increase in cases monitored lately in Great Britain, France, Germany and Italy. Controversy over how some health authorities have decided to move to a phase of greater freedom for the population that could lead some people to underestimate the risks of a possible contagion, while for example Austria reproposes the use of FFP2 masks. The end of the pandemic is far away, at least according to international organizations that fear the appearance of new variants favored by a relaxation of the threshold of attention to a virus that tends to adapt better and better to the world population.
